Bachelor's Degree Checklist

Commencement Checklist for Bachelor's Degree Candidates

Step 1: Apply to Graduate

In order to graduate from UCR, undergraduate students must submit a two-step graduation application. Students should start the graduation application process via R'Web. Once the graduation application is completed in R'Web, students will be directed to their College graduation application. For undergraduate students, you have not completed the application process until both applications have been submitted.

4:00 p.m., December 1, 2017 – deadline to apply to graduate Winter 2018.

4:00 p.m., March 1, 2018 – deadline to apply to graduate Spring 2018.

4:00 p.m., April 13, 2018 – deadline to apply to graduate Summer 2018 and participate at Commencement.  If you apply after April 13, you may still be approved to participate, but your name will not be printed in the Commencement program book.

For more information regarding filing your graduation application, please visit the Registrar's Guide to Graduation website.

Step 2: Review and Update your Personal Information in R'Web

Review your contact information and how your full name and degree information are recorded in R'Web as soon as possible to ensure that they are correct. Make sure to populate your Preferred First and Middle Name in R'Web if it is different than your legal name.

If you need to have your name corrected, information regarding requesting a change or correction of name is available on the Registrar's website.  Any changes or corrections to your name need to be updated to your record by May 7 to be included in the Commencement program book so please allow the Registrar’s Office sufficient time to process your request.

If you need to have your degree information updated, please contact your department’s Student Affairs Officer.  Any changes or corrections to your degree information need to be updated to your record by May 7 to be included in the Commencement Program book so please allow them sufficient time to process your request.
