Keynote Speaker
The Honorable Dr. Raymond L. OrbachRaymond Orbach served as Chancellor of UCR from 1992 - 2002. Under his leadership, UCR doubled in size, achieved national and international recognition in research and led the University of California in diversity. Orbach became the nation's first Under Secretary for Science at the U.S. Department of Energy in June 2006.

Tickets
To ensure that there is adequate seating, all guests, including infants, must have a ticket for entry.
Based on projected student participation, each student participating in the CHASS Group 1 ceremony may order up to 8 guest tickets. See the Tickets page for the ticket ordering and distribution schedule.
More information regarding the availability of additional tickets will be announced after May 15.
Seating
Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited on campus: alcohol, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind including firearms and knives and animals except for registered guide dogs. Strollers, balloons, and air horns etc. are not allowed at the venue; please leave these items at home or in your vehicle. Security will be screening at the venue.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Commencement venue.
Guests who are sensitive to heat and sun may view the ceremony in an indoor, climate-controlled location with a live video-feed of the ceremony shown on a large screen. No tickets are required for entrance into this location.
