Keynote Speaker
Dr. Richard R. Schrock (UCR Class of '67)Richard R. Schrock is the Frederick G. Keyes Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He shared the 2005 Nobel Prize in chemistry for the development of a chemical reaction that has helped streamline the development and industrial production of pharmaceuticals, plastics and other materials.

Tickets
To ensure that there is adequate seating, all guests, including infants, must have a ticket for entry.
Based on projected student participation, each student participating in the CNAS ceremony may order up to eight guest tickets. See the Tickets web page for the ticket ordering and distribution schedule.
More information regarding the availability of additional tickets will be announced after May 15.
Seating
Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited on campus: alcohol, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind including firearms and knives and animals except for registered guide dogs. Strollers, balloons, and air horns etc. are not allowed at the venue; please leave these items at home or in your vehicle. Security will be screening at the venue.
Smoking is not permitted inside the Commencement venue.
Guests who are sensitive to heat and sun may view the ceremony in an indoor, climate-controlled location with a live video-feed of the ceremony shown on a large screen. No tickets are required for entrance into this location.
