(Master's and Bachelor's degree candidates in the departments of Anthropology, Economics, History, Political Science)

Date: Saturday, June 13, 2020, 6:00 p.m.
Location: UCR Pierce Lawn 
Estimated Ceremony Length: 2 hours and 15 minutes


Tickets Required for Entry

Based on early estimates, we anticipate to be able to provide up to seven (7) tickets per graduate for the CHASS 1 ceremony so please plan accordingly. The exact number of maximum tickets will be announced and posted here in May.

Please note, ticket ordering is not on a first-come, first-served basis. All graduates who are registered and order their tickets by Tuesday, May 26, 2020 are guaranteed the maximum number of tickets for their ceremony.

Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.


Directions and Parking

UC Riverside is located near the convergence of the 91-60-215 freeways in the city of Riverside.

Guest parking information will be available in Winter Quarter.


Graduate/Candidate Arrival and Check in

4:45 p.m. in front of the Student Services Building


Gates Open for Guest Seating

4:30 p.m.

Indoor Simulcast

Guests who are sensitive to heat and sun may view the ceremony in University Lecture Hall or Watkins 1000. These lecture halls have climate-control and will show a live video-feed of the ceremony on a large screen. No tickets are required for entrance into these locations.  


Live Webcast

Each of UCR's Commencement ceremonies will be webcast live. A link to the webcast will be provided from the Commencement home page.


Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited on campus: tobacco products, alcohol, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind including firearms and knives and animals except for service dogs. Balloons, signs of any size and air horns etc. are not allowed at the venue; please leave these items at home or in your vehicle. Security will be screening at the venue.

Smoking and tobacco use are not permitted on university property.
