Location: Student Recreation Center (SRC) North
Estimated Ceremony Length: 1 hour and 45 minutes
Tickets Required for Entry
Based on early estimates, we anticipate to be able to provide up to twenty (20) tickets per graduate for the School of Medicine Commencement / Hippocratic Oath ceremony so please plan accordingly. The exact number of maximum tickets will be announced and posted here in May.
Please note, ticket ordering is not on a first-come, first-served basis. All graduates who are registered and order their tickets by the deadline (TBD) are guaranteed the maximum number of tickets for their ceremony.
Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Directions and Parking
UC Riverside is located near the convergence of the 91-60-215 freeways in the city of Riverside.
General guest parking information will be available in Winter Quarter.
Parking information for guests who require mobility assistance will be available in Winter Quarter. Shuttles will be available to transport these guests to and from the Commencement venue.
Graduate/Candidate Arrival and Check-in
3:00 p.m. – Graduates arrive at check-in and begin robing
3:30 p.m. – Class photo will be taken
4:00 p.m. – Graduates participate in ceremony dress rehearsal
Doors Open for Guest Seating
Each of UCR's Commencement ceremonies will be webcast live. A link to the webcast will be provided from the Commencement home page.
The following items are prohibited on campus: tobacco products, alcohol, illegal drugs/paraphernalia, and weapons of any kind including firearms and knives and animals except for service dogs. Balloons, signs of any size and air horns etc. are not allowed at the venue; please leave these items at home or in your vehicle. Security will be screening at the venue.
Smoking and tobacco use are not permitted on university property.
A reception for M.D. candidates will immediately follow the ceremony in the courtyard.
