Staff and Volunteers
Make a Difference at Commencement!
UCR staff members, students, retirees and parents are invited to celebrate with the Class of 2020 at UC Riverside's 66th Commencement, May 29 - May 30 and June 12- 15, 2020. Over 5,000 graduates are expected to attend, along with their proud family members and friends.
There are nine ceremonies to participate in. Please see the schedule page for dates, times and locations.
Commencement staff and volunteers play critical roles in serving our graduates and their guests during the ceremonies:
Candidate Check-in Team
This team is responsible for checking the candidates in, providing their name card and commemorative commencement book to them, and directing them to the line-up area. During the ceremony, this team will verify each candidate and give them instructions as they line up for the name reading.
This team is responsible for lining the candidates up, guiding them through the procession and seating them inside the venue. During the ceremony, this team will dismiss the graduates to the stage for the name reading and direct them back to their seats.
Guest Relations Staff
This team is responsible for greeting guests as they arrive at the venue, answering questions, and providing directions and assistance to guests during the ceremonies.

Producing Commencement ceremonies that honor and celebrate UCR's newest alumni requires the efforts of many people. We need your help to create the great memories that our students have worked so hard for.
If you would like to volunteer for Commencement 2020, the registration form will be posted here at the beginning of Spring Quarter.
